Kev and I recently spent a fabulous week in Thomastown, where we did a lot of eating, drinking, and exploring. From Thomastown, we took day trips to Wexford, Dublin, and Kildare. Keep scrolling to see what we got up to!

Kennedy Homestead – Explore the home to 5 generations of the Kennedy dynasty. Learn a little more about the Kennedys and then take the short drive over to the gardens for a walk.
Sea Cave Kayaking – Kind of in the middle of nowhere, if I’m being honest, but we somehow landed in a group with a family from NC! Kev and I both would 10/10 recommend booking with this company. We went on a three-hour sea cave kayaking adventure where we explored a few caves, stopped for a swim and hot chocolate, and learned a little history.
National Stud & Japanese Garden – Such a fun way to spend the morning! Walk around the stud and see all the horses, grab a latte, and stroll through the Japanese garden. We were getting all of the garden inspo.
Kildare Village – Because you can’t be in Kildare and not go to Kildare Village.
Irish National Heritage Park- Perfect for any history lover! Give yourself at least half a day for this! We ended up spending a lot longer than we thought we would.
Dublin Zoo – Had to be done!

*and what we cooked!
BRUNCH AT HOME: Steak & Eggs and a full Irish (obvi). Kev’s favorite brunch dish is steak and eggs and since it was his bday, we decided to make it at our airbnb (for some reason it’s not a big brunch dish over here). We added side of breakfast potatoes, and were obsessed. It’s such a quick and easy meal!
DINNER AT HOME: Took advantage of the Weber grill and made burgers, broke in our new ravioli tray to make homemade ravioli, and made homemade chicken carbonara (all fabulous at-home date night ideas)!
Barrow’s Keep – Gorgeous spot, food was fab, but not totally impressed with our service…I’d go back to try it again, though!
Burton House – Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Ireland so far. They have a shop, gardens, gorgeous outdoor seating, and the freshest food.
