Now that restrictions have lifted in Ireland, we took advantage of it by spending the day hiking, taking detours, and soaking up the sun.
We walked the Mountain Groove Loop, which is in Piltown, Kilkenny. It’s an easy, scenic walk with great detours nearby. On our drive back home, we stopped by the Knockroe Passage Tomb. This passage tomb was built before 3000 BCE (more than 5000 years ago)! After exploring that, we went to the slate quarry, which is a few minutes away.
We were only planning on a walk (which, let’s be honest) isn’t the most exciting thing after this year, so the detour to these two gorgeous spots made my day.
Highly recommend hitting up these three spots on your next weekend in Kilkenny!

Set gifted by Stronger. Love the quality of it and have already purchased a second set from them.
