Welcome to my new series, The Happiest Hour! Once a month or so, I plan to share a cocktail and app with y’all! One thing quarantine taught me is how to master a great at-home happy hour. From family favorites to my latest addictions, get ready for some inspo to make your at-home happy hours next level.
To kick off this series, I recreated a strawberry basil cocktail from a Mexican restaurant in my hometown of Columbia, SC, Cantina 76. I’m a sucker for a skinny margarita on the rocks, but with spring around the corner, I thought this fresh and fruity cocktail would hit the spot.
Although I’m an ‘on the rocks’ kind of gal, I prefer this cocktail frozen. I tried both to test it out for y’all. 😉
Now, this is what I consider a secret recipe. I couldn’t not share it if I was going to be talking about apps. My Mama made this more times than I can count growing up. It’s something my brothers and I all recreate as adults, and we all made it together when we had a sibling trip in NYC two years ago. If you try it out, tag me or send me a photo!
Cheers to something special!
