If you follow me on Instagram, it’s no surprise that I’m a sucker for stripes.  That’s why I immediately fell in love with this t-shirt dress from Tobi.com.  I always lean towards stripes and simple dresses because I think it’s fun and easy to mix up how you style it.  In this post, I went for a trendy and casual outfit of the day.  The black booties are also from Tobi.com and totally in style.  The cutout is so sassy I couldn’t resist!  These booties would also look amazing paired with ripped light denim and a black chunky sweater for colder weather. You can never have too many black booties, right? (The answer is yes.) This pair definitely stands out from the rest of my collection thanks to the cutout detail.  It’s also a score because living somewhere that pretty much only has sunshine and 90 degree days, I can still dress season appropriate, but not be too bundled up!

Let’s talk styling- I would consider this dress to be appropriate for a casual workday or a perfect date dress.   For casual work wear I would style this dress with flats and simple jewelry.  I think adding light pink accessories would be subtle, but still give the outfit a little pop. To transition this dress into a date night style, I would wear Steve Madden Carson heels and a fun tassel necklace. This black and white stripped dress would also look amazing with the oh so trendy thigh high black boots with hoop earrings. Depending on the date you could adjust. It’s all in the shoes!

Today I wore this outfit to a sushi lunch date and Target run. I’m happy to report that the wedges are comfortable! I am wearing a size 6, but I really think I could have gone with a 5.5. I haven’t worn this style before so it was a little tricky getting them online, but they are still easy to run around in! I am wearing an XS in the dress and it fits like a charm. The dress material is polyester and I don’t think a slip is needed.  I loved this outfit and can’t wait to style it again!
