Something about traveling makes me more willing to explore my style. Before my trip to Chicago, I was determined to get classic white sneakers and create a cute look. Even though it is pretty much an item everyone has in their closet, I still felt out of my comfort zone wearing them! Maybe it’s because the trend is taking over lately, or because I’m sick of sore feet when I’m seeing all of these beautiful places around the world. I thought it was time to get on the bandwagon! I stumbled upon the cutest brand and got to style these sneakers. The shoes run true to size and wear easy to break in. Made in Brooklyn, these white leather shoes were what this look was planned around! (Thanks, Greats!)
Before my trip, I knew it would be pretty chilly so I started searching the sales for a cute new sweater. J.crew, no shocker there, had this fun knit in blue or pink for $50 (originally $158) and I couldn’t resist the fun and bright color! This is a crop style and I am wearing the small in this picture. To make the knit pop, I wore my white Joe’s Jeans. This brand has stolen my heart! They are the most comfortable jeans ever which make them even more perfect for traveling. To play off the white, I wore a light gray Kate Spade cross body- another travel must! And as if the bright blue wasn’t enough, I added my hot pink aviators.
Together it was the perfect outfit to explore the inside of amazing museums and wander the streets of the city. If you’re on the fence of wearing a pair of fresh kicks, plan a simple outfit around it! A jean or black shirt and white jeans with dainty necklaces and you have a simple yet chic outfit. Here’s one more look at how I styled these shoes! TBH, this blogger totally inspired my second look! (I’m obsessed with her.)
