Happy Spring Break! My senior year getaway started off with my boyfriend and I traveling to Dallas to visit my older brother. The trip was filled with good food and good company. We explored Deep Ellum and Fort Worth. Not only am I going to share what I wore for our day of adventures, but I’m also going to add in a few tips that saved me!
The sunny weather and light breeze were ideal for a day of walking around and experiencing big Texas. My high-neck loose black knit top is by Zara (similar linked here). I paired it with my ripped skinny jeans (similar linked here) and open-toed Steven Madden booties. To keep comfortable in the windy weather, I added my oversized Urban Outfitters long cardigan. It was the perfect causal outfit to experience the artsy vibes all the way to the rodeo atmosphere!
Since I was experiencing a new area, I wanted to be prepared. I brought my Charles River pullover and kept it in the car in case I got colder later in the evening. I also brought a pair of black strappy sandals since I was unsure about the atmosphere of Fort Worth or what our plans would be. Let’s just say I’m glad I didn’t have to wear wedges to the rodeo! When traveling, it is defiantly smart to plan ahead and bring options to ensure your comfort.
We experienced a rodeo, cattle drive, and the art from Deep Ellum. Not a bad way to spend the first few days of spring break!
More to come! Xo, Catie Beth
Aw, your outfit looks super cute! 🙂
Deep Ellum is awesome! I just went to a concert there a few days ago, and they’re really building it up! A few fun bars and nothing beats Twisted Root burgers (fried green beans are to die for!)
It was so pretty driving through! 🙂
Those booties are fantastic! Are they comfy?

Once you break them in 🙂
Such a cute look. I love those booties!
