Just the thought of Fashion Week gives me chills. It is on my bucket list and I have no doubt that one day I will be able to check it off. The anticipation and amount of hours of preparation that go into creating the extravagant event is shown through each designer’s show. Each theme reflected the designer’s vision and it was amazing to watch! I attempted to recreate three different looks from three different designers to help bring us fashion lovers back down to earth and take the runway style and make it more relatable! Who cares if you’re just going to class or even to Target, treat the world like it’s your runway 😉
Look One- Black & White
Inspired by ZAC by Zac Posen
You can never go wrong with the classic b&w as proven in Zac Posen’s show. The gorgeous voluminous black dress took my breath away, but I thought this look was a bit more appropriate to recreate. The white top paired with black bottoms and a neutral grey bag makes this style comfortable and ready to wear.
Top: Zara // Shorts: J.crew // Bag: Kate Spade // Shoes: Nordstrom
Look Two- White Out
Inspired by Calvin Klein
I’ve never tried the white on white trend, but it’s safe to say it’s a winner. I think the mesh top with cut outs adds dimension and eases its way into the trend. Calvin Klein’s collection was mostly white on white so I would say it is a MUST to try out.
Top: H&M // Jeans: J.crew // Shoes: Jessica Simpson
Look Three- Goodness Grey-cious
Inspired by Eli Tahari-Pre Collection
As soon as I saw this sweater, I thought it was very “fashion-forward.” Then I saw the fabulous Eli Tahari collection that featured something quite similar. I decided to *pat myself on the back*. This look is totally something you can recreate and wear out to a variety of places. The original look featured a black top but any neutral top with long pants and booties can easily recreate Eli Tahari’s showstopper.
Sweater: Nordstrom Rack // Jeans: Beija Flor // Shoes: Steve Madden
